Cakes and More...

Well, I worked hard today, had a good meeting with my grandma's doctor (if the swallow test goes well tomorrow - pray it does, we're looking at discharge in a couple of weeks), went by the library, caught up with Eddie on HHMI things, had a super cake class, and is home sweet home with her family now! What a day it has been.

Plus earlier this week, I received my 500 students taught pin from Wilton. That was so exciting. I have been teaching for 7 1/2 years now...8 in December. I was the youngest ever instructor which was a huge honor, and I still love teaching. So this was a great incentive to keep on keeping on. It's fun to see how much the students enjoy the class...and to encourage them to keep going when they get frustrated. You can see lots of pictures on my website at www.freewebs.com/confectionatelyyoursjocelin.

Essential Oil Pick of the Week!

My essential oil pick of the week is Peppermint Oil! You can read more about it at http://hebraicwoodworking.com/peppermint_essential_oil_5.html, but I can tell you it is AMAZING! Putting it on your tummy area helps with any stomach or digestive issues you may be having. It can also be used to flavor food items as the Young Living brand is 100% therapeutic grade and digestible. I just love my essential oils.

Crown Director's Training

This week, I traveled to St. Louis, Missouri for Director's Training with Crown. After picking up the rental car (it was less expensive to rent a car and expense that along with the gas, than mileage on my car), we headed out. It was about 7 hours drive time. Daddy and I both drove...so that was nice. :) I did manage to spot the St. Louis Arch not far out from St. Louis. We were crossing into Missouri on I-270, so we were a few miles north of the Arch. After arriving at the hotel and checking in, we headed to bed for an early night knowing that it was going to be a busy week.

My boss, John, and I met up in the morning for breakfast with quite a few other "Crownies" as we jokingly call ourselves. It was great to begin fellowshipping and to see what had been happening in each of our areas of responsibility. Sid and Donna Ward, Kim Rommereim, and I went out to lunch together before heading to the church where our training was being held. One of the first things at Director's Training was the celebration of staff changes...one of them being that I was now officially the Money Map Coach Manager! I'm really excited about moving the Money Map Coaching Program forward. Some of my goals include correcting current "stucks" as well as implementing new items and training to really help the coaches.

We were in training the rest of the day Tuesday as well as all day Wednesday and through Thursday lunch. We did take time out to eat as well as fellowship. Here are Kim and I together when the group went to Dave and Busters for dinner on Wednesday...

After dinner Wednesday, Sid and Donna Ward and I went for a walk and talked...but we spotted these adorable geese - Momma, Daddy, and 7 babies!

Joanna Royal is close to my age, and she I enjoyed getting a better chance to interact.

And on our way home, we stopped by Cabala's for Daddy to do an exchange. He and Momma had gone there on Wednesday while I was at the conference. My poor sweet Momma was in Cabala's with my Daddy for 2+ hours! But we did find this cute turtle swimming in one of the displays.

I especially enjoyed our car time giving us good family talk time. I also got to drive over half the way home. :) It is good to be home sweet home now.

Expectant Nurse Cake

Recently I did a baby shower cake for a lady who had just completed nursing school. The cake turned out as the husband so kindly put it "just as I imagined it"! I was so pleased with the result. It featured a hand molded expectant nurse made of gum paste. Yes, that nurse is 100% hand molded along with her clipboard and nurse's bag. She is sitting on top of a 6" round almond flavored cake with buttercream icing. There were 50 cupcakes below her. 25 of them were red velvet with cream cheese icing, and 25 of them were lemon with buttercream icing. They were each topped with an freehand flower. Put all together, it turned out to be one of my favorite cakes so far! Here are a couple of pictures to enjoy...

Eggville!

Eggs on the farm are fun - check out this family of eggs. The one in the middle is a normal size egg. The one on the left is our smallest ever egg at 15 grams. The one on the right is our biggest one yet at 130 grams. It's fun to see what Daddy brings in from the chickens each day!

Paul Wilbur Concert!

Hearing Paul Wilbur live on Shabbat was a real treat! It was such an awesome time of praising Yah with Messianic music and Davidic Dance. The audience was invited up on 2 songs including the Let Yah Arise melody, 7+ min long! I even got to have Paul autograph my cd and get a picture with him. He was very sweet and humble even after singing for 2 hours straight. It was also great to see friends we knew from past events and meet new fellow messianics to fellowship with. Here are some pictures from the event...

A Special Daddy!

I have a very special Daddy! I haven't been faithful these past couple of weeks about blogging on here due to family medical issues. Between my grandma, my adopted "Uncle Mark," and my grandpa, we have spent 3 nights in the ER in the last 9 weeks.

Well, yesterday, Mommy and I were coming home from being with Nana and getting her to eat. We walked in and Daddy has these beautiful mousse cups ready and waiting for us! They not only looked beautiful, but they tasted super too! And the thought that went into them was so special. :) I have the world's bestest Daddy...and sorry folks, he's already taken!
