Review of Unlimited by Davis Bunn

As I picked up Unlimited to begin reading it, I wondered how Davis was going to top the Marc Royce series which I have truly loved. I knew I was in for meeting new people and a new place...

Within the first few pages, I was caught up in the mystery and intrigue of the situation that Simon (the main character) found himself in. Here was a scientist who had found himself trying to find forgiveness...yet he landed in a foreign country fraught with danger.

You soon meet Dr. Clara. At first she seems to be danger herself, yet you get a glimpse of something more...maybe she is with the good side? Then you meet Pedro, a guy with a love for the Lord, humble and meek, yet he loves adventure. Sofia is the mystery lady that somehow you fall in love with through the pages of the book. Throughout it all, Harold the founder of the orphanage where most of the story takes place is the key stabilizing factor. He keeps everyone focused on the heart of the matter - God Himself who is always there for us no matter what.

The villain?  Yes, there is one.  You will stay guessing for quite a while his identity, but you will have a pretty good guess before he is revealed. This beautiful story of redemption, forgiveness, and good triumphing over evil will keep you on the edge of your seat right up till the ending.

Davis Bunn has once again done a magnificent job of making you feel like you are right in the midst of the story.  He has truly lived up to his title of "Gentleman Adventurer."

On a scale of 1-5 stars, I would definately give it 5 stars!
